We focus on producing the work. As you develop your writing skills, by actually going to work on your manuscript, we harness muscle memory. The best way to master is to practice.
Now, when we say “practice,” what we don’t mean is “on the sidelines,” or “trying.” What we mean when we say “practice” is “do,” as in “practice medicine.” And, please note, we’re not saying this will be easy or that it won’t take more work than you likely know you are capable of. But you will, if you remain coachable and productive, produce a marketable manuscript. And you will receive coaching to bring you back to center when you feel like you can’t.

How The CALLIOPE Inner Circle Works
You will have access to our patent-pending, proprietary curriculum. We understand that different people have different learning styles. The course content includes powerful and entertaining video lessons and PDF companion guides. You will complete the lesson material for the week on your own and then we’ll support you in applying the tools to your own project on the live session. There are 24 modules, 24 live sessions, and 24 weeks in the program.
At the beginning of the program, we will set you up with a powerful system for staying empowered while you storyboard your manuscript, screenplay or script. You will then craft that first draft in 6 weeks.

The CRUCIBLE Advanced Pitch Conference is a 2-day course where you design your pitch and then deliver it to top literary agents. This isn’t your ordinary pitch conference. We are at 100% success for requests for pages from the participants in this course. Most of our students receive multiple requests, and often for multiple projects. If you intend to publish traditionally, you must attend this course.
Your success is all about staying in creative brain, thinking like a four-year-old. If you get stuck or you need some one-on-one time, you can use one of your three Private Power Sessions to work privately with Angie or one of our highly-trained coaches to work out the kinks. You may not ever need a private check-in, but if you do, you can pull out your get-out-of-disempowerment free card.

We also have regular online group empowerment sessions. You know how three minutes of disempowerment can quickly turn into three years of that project getting stashed in the cupboard? This is the remedy. We’ll bring the empowerment. What you must bring is the action.
We’ll also introduce you to some powerful tools that allow you to do the impossible. You will belong to a group within the group, where you’ll be introduced to layered accountability. The most important thing to know about layered accountability is that your group and our coaches will have your back. We’ll also incorporate brain hacks that allow you to get that project done, even when writing is the last thing you want to do.

There are three things that we know…
The first is that human beings relate to time and money as if they are finite. The minute those two subjects come up, as in, “Do I have the time?” or “Do I have the money?” your brain goes right to work at shutting down your experience of risk by keeping you small. Your brain is not interested in your self-expression.
We also know that there is a short window of time inside of which you will choose your dreams over everything that your brain is at work at to keep you alive, to keep you from being eaten by that Saber-toothed tiger.
And lastly, we know from experience that for our coaching to be effective, you must have skin in the game. The CALLIOPE Inner Circle does take time–and while we shorten that timeline dramatically–it does require time. We’d do this for free all the day long if it worked. The CALLIOPE Inner Circle is a $12K program. The thing is this: we don’t want to make the difference we make just for people who can afford a $12K program, so the tuition is a fraction of that. FAQs
Will The Calliope Inner Circle work for my project?
The program is designed for every imaginable genre of writing. Every story is viable, if it is told inside of solid structure. It’s all in how you tell it. Which is exactly what we go to work on in the program.
Do I need to finish my draft before I start the program?
No! We actually prefer to get you at the beginning of your career and before you’ve even started your project. Which doesn’t mean that you can’t bring a complete draft, or anything, in any state to the program.
What if I’ve already written my project and I’m just finishing it up?
We finish a full draft in the first 6 weeks of the program and then we move into revision. While we are in drafting, you will be doing a revision. About half of our students come to us with what they believe to be finished manuscripts, and they elevate their projects dramatically.
How much time does The Calliope Inner Circle take to complete?
Students who do the program as it’s designed, participating fully in every regard, spend a maximum of 40 minutes a week on their group call, about 1 hour a week on the curriculum, and 2 hours a week on the live sessions. While it serves you to participate in all of the live sessions, these are recorded so that you can review sessions that you miss. Most students write an average of about 2 hours a day. There will be times when you’ll be encouraged to take your eyes off of your project for a while, as well. The CALLIOPE Inner Circle is designed for busy people.
How often do you start The Calliope Inner Circle?
We have a spring program and a fall program with a pre-registration period before the six-week enrollment period before each program begins. Space in the program is limited.
What if I can’t attend The Crucible when it’s scheduled?
We do one CRUCIBLE for each program. If for some reason you can’t attend The CRUCIBLE Advanced Pitch Conference, you can simply do the next one.
I feel like I need to get my affairs in order before I can start the program.
It doesn’t work to do the program if you are experiencing extreme emotional, financial, or physical hardship. The CALLIOPE Inner Circle is rigorous. However, the program is designed to support you in having everything in your life work. So, rather than getting ready to start the program, it’s more like this: you do the program and your life starts working.
Can I do more than one writing project in the program?
We request that you focus on one project and then apply what you learn to your next project. If you are having trouble choosing which project, we have a process that we use to support you in choosing. It works much like the sorting hat in Harry Potter. The project chooses you.
What if something happens and I can’t complete the program?
The CALLIOPE Inner Circle is a 6-month coaching program because you could actually do it in much less time. We’ve worked it in so that if you have a rough patch, you can take a short break and then join us again. If you do have a major life event, we will move you to a future program at no charge. You must make the request.
What if I’m not technically savvy?
It is required nowadays to learn some tech “savviness” if you intend to be a successful author. And, we know that not every writer was born after the tech revolution. We even have coaches whose accountability is TECH WIZARD. If you’re an old dog, you’ll have to learn some new tricks. While you may need to take computer classes or have some local support, we will support you in all of the technical parts of the program.
What if I don’t work and play well in groups?
We get it. And this is a group coaching program. We have found that our students who fully participate in their groups actually finish their books.
Do you offer discounts on tuition?
We do not. The CALLIOPE Inner Circle is a $12K coaching program. We’ve already worked in the discount for you. That said, former students have created a pay-it-forward scholarship. If you absolutely cannot work out payments, get in communication with us. There may be a scholarship available. You do have to qualify in several different ways.
